A prospective cohort study in Singapore showed that maternal night eating (defined as consuming >50% of total daily energy intake during 1900–0659 h) at 26–28 weeks gestation was associated with a 0.44-week reduction in gestational age at birth (95% CI: −0.74, −0.14), but its association with preterm birth did not reach statistical significance (OR = 2.14, 95% CI: 0.99, 4.66) [ 27 ].
