With regard to coagulation, thrombelastographic analyses under the same conditions demonstrate a mild prolongation to onset of clot formation, decrease in velocity of clot growth and decrease in clot strength after exposure of whole blood to cadmium compared to control conditions; however, these changes did not reach statistical significance [ 15 ].
