Primary Analysis: Naturally Acquired Immunity Against Symptomatic Infections (COVID-19) The effectiveness of a previous infection against reinfection resulting in symptomatic disease was slightly higher than that against any reinfection (regardless of symptoms) at 3-6 months after infection, at 93.6% (95% CI, 79.6%-98.0%), and showed a trend of a more rapid decline with time since infection ( Table II and Figure 4 ), and protection against symptomatic reinfection remained high.
