Although this examination was descriptive, children who reported use of antipsychotics showed a trend toward greater overall impairment than both the All ASD cohort and the other psychotropic medication groups, as evidenced by lower mean VIQ, NVIQ, and adaptive functioning scores and by higher hyperactivity and irritability scores.
