The RR of twins for stillbirth, compared with singletons, was 3.27 overall, ranging from RR = 5.7 in 2012 to RR = 2.5 in 2021, with an upward trend in the period 1957-1988 (APC = 1.2, 95% CI: 0.7 to 1.8, p < 0.001), a stabilization during 1988-2012, and a decreasing trend in the period 2012-2021 (APC = -4.8, 95% CI: -8.0 to -1.4, p = 0.006) (Figures 7 - 9 , Tables 1 , 3 ).

HG showed a decreasing trend as day 5 and 7 had a significant decrease compared with day 2 (p=0.0066 and p=0.0056 for day 5 and 7, respectively, figure 3F ) and day 4 (p=0222 and p=0.0191 for day 5 and 7, respectively).

Although the effect of the model on the MDA10 ( P = 0.076) and MDA30 ( P = 0.136) showed a decreasing trend, the contrast analysis revealed that the inclusion of milk thistle in the diet linearly decreased MAD10 ( P = 0.007) and MDA30 ( P = 0.016) in meat samples.

Using trend Chi-square analysis, we found that individuals who had not received booster immunization had the highest reinfection rate (24.5%), and the reinfection rate showed a decreasing trend with an increasing number of booster doses ( p = 0.007).

The proportion of SGA infants was 24.1%, showing a decreasing trend from 2013 to 2023 (P=0.007).

As for breast cancer, a stable trend (AAPC: 0.3%, 95% CI − 0.3 to 0.9%, P = 0.28) was observed in rural areas compared to a decreasing trend (AAPC: − 2.7%, 95% CI − 4.6 to − 0.7%, P = 0.007) in urban areas.

We saw a decreasing trend, from 20.7% of patients in 2010 to 8.9% of patients in 2019 ( p = 0.007, Mann–Kendall trend test; Figure 2 ).

The paired t-test analysis of levels CRP during the first three weeks of hospitalization showed a decreasing trend in CRP levels during hospitalization ( Fig 3 ), with a significant decrease in CRP levels in the first week compared to the third week (P = 0.007). 4.

Univariate statistical methods also showed a decreasing trend, though this was marginally non-significant ( p = 0.0076).

The mean of BDNF plasma levels had a decreasing trend by playing the scary video game (P=0.007813) ( Figure 4 ).

Between REST and POST40, Completers showed a decreasing trend while Non-completers exhibited an increasing one (-0.46 ± 0.86 vs. 0.93 ± 0.97 pg/ml; p=0.008) and this difference was also present between POST10 and POST40 phases (-0.26 ± 0.76 vs 0.72 ± 0.75 pg/ml; p=0.024).

All groups’ PPARγ expression showed a decreasing trend, among which, PPARγ of the IHT group significantly reduced (baseline vs. postexercise: 9.87 ± 2.79 vs. 8.12 ± 1.37, p = 0.008).

There was a decreasing trend for diagnoses in the age group 45 to 64 years (from n = 143, or 44.8%, to n = 96, or 36.9%, p = 0.008) and maintained trend in age 65 years or more ( n = 83, or 26.0%, to n = 53, or 20.4%, p = 0.306) ( Fig. 2A - B ).

Time 5 reinforces a decreasing trend (p = 0.008).

Figure 3 shows a non-significant decrease in trends of sadomasochistic practices (7% (6/81) to 3% (10/291); p = 0.116) and a decreasing trend on sexualised drug use (i.e. chemsex; 34% (32/94) to 22% (116/539); p = 0.009) among MSM.

Carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli showed a decreasing trend (from 2.8% to 0.7%; Z = −2.612, P = 0.009).
