Although cEH on the affected side did not show significant differences between the groups ( p = 0.068) ( Table 2 ), it almost reached significance and was moderately correlated with the degree of vEH ( Kendall’s Tau-b = 0.59, p < 0.001).
After multivariable adjustment, daily soft drink consumption significantly increased mortality risk in people with CHD and almost reached significance in those without CHD (adjusted hazard ratio (aHR) [95% CI]: 6.09 [2.40–15.48], p < 0.001, and 1.58 [0.97–2.56], p = 0.066 respectively).
This difference was significant at the ages of 12 and 24 months, as well as at the age of 6 years, and almost reached significance at the age of 6 months and 10 years (28 vs. 35°, p = 0.008; 28 vs. 35°, p = 0.002; 28 vs. 34°, p = 0.001; 28 vs. 36°, p = 0.056 and 30 vs. 36°, p = 0.075, respectively).
The IVIG‐treated group had lower cancer incidence versus azathioprine and almost reached significance when compared with prednisone ( p = 0.03 and 0.06, respectively).
Histological lung injury score grading ( Figure 3 graph) revealed that EV therapy significantly ( p = 0.006) reduced the lung injury score 168 h after injury, and the difference between P-MSC and EV therapies almost reached significance ( p = 0.05). 3.4.
In the GPPPD model the association between number of fulfilled criteria and negative alterations in mood and cognition almost reached significance (IRR = 1.39, 95% CI [0.98, 2.01], p = 0.05).
The main effect of adherence almost reached significance ( β adherence = 2.57, t = 1.95, p = .05), indicating that, on a trend level, higher adherence predicted greater PCL reduction from T1 to T6.
No neutrophil subsets were significantly enriched in OAC2 compared with OAC4 although that of the endpoint N4R neutrophil subset almost reached significance ( p = .051, Figure 6E ).

The impact of lockdown on survival almost reached significance when adjusted for other factors in Cox proportional hazards regression in the non-curative population (HR 1.18, 1.00 to 1.39; P = 0.051) ( Fig. 2 ).
In ALS patients, we found a positive correlation between SDHB mRNA level in muscle and functional status (evaluated by the ALSFRS-R score), which almost reached significance ( r = 0.7186, P = 0.0519), whereas SDHB levels were unchanged overall when compared to controls ( Fig. 6F and G ).
In the final logistic multivariable analysis, after backward selection of variables, Raynaud’s phenomenon remained significantly associated with PAH (OR 10.52 (0.98–14.8), p=0.0004), whereas anti-RNP positivity almost reached significance (OR 3.8 (2.8–38.9), p=0.052) ( table 4 ).
Neither the association of COPD nor type 2 DM were significant factors for aquiring PTB- SARS-CoV-2 co-infection, although in the case of diabetes, the analysis almost reached significance, with a p = 0.052 and a good specificity ( Table 4 , Figure A4 and Figure A5 ).
However, the B path in males almost reached significance (P=0.052) using eGFR values from the CKD-EPI equation ( Supplementary Table S3 ).
Post hoc multiple comparisons between group and time points showed that FND patients and HC significantly different in their cortisol levels at time points 30 min upon awakening, and almost reached significance at time point 15, 45, and 60 min upon awakening ( P = 0.052) ( Fig. 2 ).
Logically, the most significant alterations between our study groups were the results of PFTs: T L,CO (%; p = 0.02; Figure 2 ), RV (%; p < 0.001), TLC (%; p < 0.001), and FVC ( p = 0.04); FEV 1 alterations almost reached significance ( p = 0.052).
The interaction between elevation and intercommunity distance almost reached significance (estimate ± SE = 0.187 ± 0.096, P = 0.0537; Fig 5B and Table 1 ).
The elevation of tRF-TyrGTA 1–19 levels in plasma of SM patients compared to ICH patients almost reached significance ( p = 0.0545), and a trend for elevated tRF-TyrGTA 1–19 levels was observed for IS patients when compared to ICH patients ( p = 0.1041).
In the original analysis including all unmethylated patients, the comparison almost reached significance ( P = .0551).
There was a negative correlation between U-α1/cr and both tKV and rKV in singletons (r = − 0.44, CI − 0.64 to − 0.19, P = 0.0014 and r = − 0.40, CI − 0.61 to − 0.14, P = 0.0041), small negative correlation with eGFR almost reached significance (r = –0.27, P = 0.0559).
Statistical analysis shows that only the decrease in LVEDD was significant over this period ( p = 0.0046), though the decrease in LVESD over this period almost reached significance ( p = 0.056).
When females were grouped by Darter identity, a two-way ANOVA showed that the effect of shock intensity almost reached significance (F(1,10) = 4.653, p = 0.056), but there was no effect of Darter identity (F(1,10) = 0.082, p = 0.78) ( Fig. 5 C).
An inverse correlation was found between the hospitalization rates of men and women during the time periods, which almost reached significance ( p = 0.056); more men were hospitalized during the CP than before the pandemic, while more women were hospitalized prior to the CP.
