In the literature

Stratification by publication era revealed an important trend: the 14 studies from the original Allahwala meta-analysis showed OR 0.47 (95% CI 0.33–0.66), while the 3 new studies in the primary analysis (Liu [ 12 ], Iqbal [ 16 ], Yılmaz [ 17 ]) showed a non-significant OR 0.88 (95% CI 0.49–1.58), with a trend toward significant subgroup difference ( p = 0.06).
These latter three groups illustrate an important trend with respect to contamination – certain abundant, predominantly cytoplasmic, proteins are repeatedly found in the list of potential contaminants, either due to the subfractionation process or their association (even if temporary) with proteins of another localization (for example, the protein folding chaperones).
Recent studies, such as Latent Transfer Attack (LTA) [ 21 ], Improving Adversarial Transferability and Imperceptibility with Loss Landscape and Diffusion Model [ 22 ], and NatADiff [ 23 ], further indicate that latent-space adversarial optimization has become an important trend for jointly improving transferability and visual naturalness.
