We also found that the binding of artificial glycocarrier reporters containing repeated clusters of 1–4 O -glycans in short mucin-like sequence motifs appeared to correlate with the number of O -glycans in the clusters, showing an increasing trend (glycocarriers with 1× Thr < 2× Thr < 4× Thr O -glycosylation cluster motifs).
The residual spatial autocorrelation analysis reveals significant spatial dependence across all thresholds ( p < 0.01) but shows an increasing trend with larger distances (Moran’s I = 0.0516, 0.0624, and 0.0680 for 50 km, 100 km, and 150 km respectively), suggesting that broader spatial relationships may not be fully captured by the current covariates.
