While our most significant result is of equivocal significance, and lies in a region that is hard to validate via sequencing, we believe IBD analysis has considerable potential, particularly to help interpret whole-genome sequencing data in complex trait studies.

Solitary lesions on the BS are usually of equivocal significance; 50% of them turn out to be malignant.[ 20 ] An exception must be made for sternal lesions in breast cancer patients; these are deemed metastatic until otherwise proved after having excluded previous sternal trauma.[ 21 ] Interestingly, solitary lesions have a more favorable prognosis than multiple or widespread lesions.[ 22 ] This implies that solitary suspicious lesions should not be regarded as being malignant by default.

Objective(s): We aim to investigate the clinical impact of 18 F-FDG PET/CT in managing patients with gynecological malignancies and pelvic or extrapelvic lymph nodes that are of equivocal significance on conventional imaging.

These changes were considered of equivocal significance in four birds, with only one bird diagnosed with acute malaria as a contributory cause of death.

In fact, although radiologically suspicious lesions have well-recognised guidelines intended to determine the nature of the lesion, there is no definitive agreement as to how a discrete mass of indeterminate/equivocal significance (3B) should be approached.

For example, in the recent open-label study of eculizumab, 2 on-study events (back pain alone in one subject and a one-line change of visual acuity in a second) were of equivocal significance. 21 Although experience with stratification of attack severity is limited, a simple system for rating optic nerve and spinal cord attacks has been applied to retrospective studies. 12 This strategy is similar to well-accepted clinical scales used in MS 46 and focuses on visual, pyramidal, sensory, and sphincter functions that are most consistently affected in NMO.

75 Establishing strategies to accurately differentiate radiation necrosis from recurrence and tumor progression has the potential to significantly improve the care and quality of life of patients treated aggressively for lesions of equivocal significance. 75 Notably, this could enable clinicians to halt further radiotherapy and potentially alleviate symptoms using drugs such as bevacizumab or corticosteroids. 76–78 Several publications have focused on discriminating cases of radiation necrosis from local recurrence (LR) or tumor progression in BM p
