Compared with the KHE-only group, a significant better performance in TUG test was observed in the SAA group at week 8, with a between-group difference in changes from baseline of −0.46 seconds (95% CI, −0.88 to −0.05 seconds; d = 0.25; P = .03) but the differences were marginally insignificant at week 4 and not significant at week 12.
Examples of inappropriate statistical analyses included: (1) using a parametric statistical test for non-parametric data, (2) stating that a marginally insignificant statistical test was still statistically “significant,” (3) using a paired statistical test for independent groups, and (4) using multiple comparisons without employing any statistical correction.
