Embryos treated with (5Z)-7-Oxozeaenol showed a slight, but not quite significant (p = 0.05, Student’s t-test) increase in the percentage of cells expressing cleaved Caspase 3, suggesting that in these embryos another mechanism may be responsible for the decrease in extra-embryonic cells.
