Additionally, factors like educational level, lack of breastfeeding, stressful life events [ 1 ], gestational diabetes [ 19 ], and employment status after delivery have been found to be of borderline significance [ 8 ].

Relative to those without chronic pain, participants having 2, 3, and 4 pain sites and pain ‘all over the body’ had a 29%, 27%, 30%, and 37% higher risk of incident AD in the fully adjusted model, respectively, of which 4 pain sites and pain ‘all over the body’ were of borderline significance (Fig. 3 and Table 2 ).
