Objective A recent high-density fine-mapping (ImmunoChip) study of genetic associations in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) identified 14 risk loci with validated genome-wide significance, as well as a number of loci showing associations suggestive of significance ( P = 5 × 10 −5 < 5 × 10 −8 ), but these have yet to be replicated.

Using the Bonferroni‐corrected threshold of p , p < .017 ( α = .05/3) was considered significant in our study, and p between .017 and .05 was considered suggestive of significance.
The resistance index was suggestive of significance in Group C.
p -values falling within the range of 0.00357–0.05 were considered suggestive of significance ( 17 ).
For multiple tests, associations with p -values < 0.0021 were considered statistically significant, while p -values ≥ 0.0021 and < 0.05 were regarded as suggestive of significance.
In light of the relatively small number of independent tests being run within each independent locus, we considered results with an empirical P value of <0.05 suggestive of significance.
The genome scan identified two regions with LOD > 1.88, the threshold suggestive of significance ( Fig. 2 , Table 2 ).
P values between 1.68 × 10 −5 (for MS, 2.04 × 10 −5 for NBL, and 1.06 × 10 −5 for YBL) and 0.05 were considered to be suggestive of significance.
It amounts to 66.7% when compared with 14.7% in babies weighing 2.5 to 3.5 kgs which is suggestive of significance ('P' value of 0.093).
No individual genetic variants were identified at conventional levels of significance in any analysis although several loci were associated at a level suggestive of significance.
After correction for tests on 3 exposures, associations with P values of <0.017 (0.05/3) were considered statistically significant; P values between 0.017 and <0.05 were considered to be suggestive of significance.
A p -value < 0.005 was considered statistically significant and <0.05 as suggestive of significance. 25 STROBE Guidelines For this article, the STROBE reporting guidelines for observational studies was used. 26 Data Availability Data are available in anonymized form and can be shared by request form any qualified investigator.
Additionally, a p-value < 0.05 was considered suggestive of significance [ 49 ].

Statistical analysis In IVW analysis, a P value less than 0.05 is considered suggestive of significance, while a P FDR < 0.05 is deemed statistically significant.
Apart from tests of the a priori hypotheses, only P -values <0.01 should be regarded as suggestive of significance, and results should be regarded as exploratory.
Furthermore, those patients whose tumours neither expressed telomerase nor ALT had the highest survival rate with a lower HR for death than those expressing telomerase or the ALT phenotype, although this was only suggestive of significance when adjusted for tumour grade.
