Those in the “other” group had a trend toward greater mortality, though numbers in both groups were small (3 deaths with debridement and ⩾6 weeks of antibiotics, 12 deaths with debridement and <6 weeks of antibiotics or antibiotics alone) and did not reach statistical significance (OR = 2.88, 95% CI: 0.83–13.4, p = 0.12).
