In trend testing for DDA intake quartiles and diabetes among prediabetic patients in Table 3 , comparing the second, third, and fourth quartiles of DDA intake to the lowest quartile, the OR and 95% CI for diabetes in the fully adjusted Model 3 were, respectively, 0.98 (0.84–1.14), 0.80 (0.68–0.94), and 0.82 (0.70–0.97), with a significant trend ( P for trend = 0.003).
