While the total number of births for each year showed a trend of continuous significant decrease, the rate of pregnancies of advanced age (35 years or greater) exhibited a trend of significant increase, from 9.5% in 1992 to 26.2% in 2022 (p-value < 0.001); but, surprisingly, the percentage of pregnancies with extremely advanced age was relatively constant, at 0.1–0.3%, throughout the 30 year-period of the study, not showing a significant trend (p-value > 0.05).
