Oncoplastic BCS demonstrated a lower relative risk of positive margins compared to standard BCS (RR 0.7, 95% CI 0.4–1.2), although this did not reach statistical significance (Fig. 4 ).
Yet, we also showed a trend towards a lower risk of positive margins in ILC patients after oncoplastic BCS compared with standard BCS, especially in patients with larger tumor sizes.
