For example, in the Swedish work force, a negative trend of job demands and decision authority was observed in the female-dominated industries between 1991 and 2013, and, in 2020, the highest prevalence of problem drinking was in male-dominated Goods and Energy Production (7.7%), and the lowest was in female-dominated Health and Social Care (4.7%) [ 42 , 43 ].
The health sector, for instance, appears to be experiencing an unfavorable trend, a situation that has likely been exacerbated by the pandemic.
