Although the LBRs appeared to decrease with an increasing number of previous miscarriages, this trend did not reach statistical significance for any of the groups: all RPL (p=0.162), known etiology (p=0.750), and idiopathic RPL group (p=0.216). 3.6 Prevalence of RPL in women with abnormal cellular immunity according to previous number of miscarriages We enumerated the possibility of an association between the cellular immune abnormality and the number of miscarriages because a report from Yamada et al. suggested the beneficial effect of IVIG was prominent in idiopathic RPL women with a history of four or more miscarriages ( 2 ).
