Restricting analyses to subgroups such as morbid obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m 2 ), exclusion of interstitial pneumonia, pulmonary-etiology ARDS, Murray score greater than or equal to 2.5, COVID-19, and age strata yielded overall consistent results; however, the association did not reach statistical significance within the morbid obesity subgroup ( Tables S4–S9 , https://links.lww.com/CCX/B600 ).
