The associations with gender (male, coefficient = −0.117, P = 0.070) and being over 60 years of age (coefficient = 0.989, P = 0.057) showed a trend toward statistical significance but did not reach the conventional threshold ( P < 0.05).
Residing in rural areas (coefficient = 0.240, P = 0.008) and in Liaoning Province (coefficient = 0.175, P = 0.046) positively correlated with knowledge of preventive measures against tick bites, while having an education level of elementary school or below (coefficient = −0.192, P = 0.091) approached significance in its negative correlation with this knowledge dimension.
