The sentences
In experiment I, for both the ascending and descending presentation of the 50 stimuli (Dots50), gaze lateralization followed an increasing trend until the third block, after which lateralization decreased even shifting to the left side (negative values; Figure 3 A, first and second columns).
Significant or close-to-significant contrasts were observed between the blocks with largest (peak) lateralization and the blocks with lowest lateralization (middle blocks, highest visibility), for both human and monkey face stimuli ( Table 2 ).
