Discussion In the phase 2 NOVA 1 randomized clinical trial of adults with schizophrenia experiencing an acute psychotic episode, once-daily LB-102 50 mg and 75 mg produced statistically significant greater reductions in symptoms (as measured by the change from baseline in PANSS total score at week 4) compared with placebo and were generally well tolerated; the 100-mg dose also demonstrated greater reductions in PANSS total score than placebo that were nominally significant and was generally well tolerated.
