Furthermore, we could see a significant trend where the G residues in the first position of the G YW motifs ( Table 2 ) or the second position of R G YW motifs ( Table S3 ) were more mutated in the NBS patients, whereas no difference in targeting of the corresponding C residues in the reverse complementary motifs (WR C or WR C Y) was observed ( Table 2 and S3 ).
