Patients in the upper IR tertile showed a clear trend toward higher final infarct volumes, although it did not reach statistical significance (48.1 ± 83.4 cubic centimeters in upper tertile vs. 24.83 ± 44.12 cubic centimeters in the rest of tertiles; P = 0.061).
