CV MAS and CV f exhibited a clear trend towards an increase as the assessment load increased and this could at least be partially explained as an impaired ability to maintain a stable position and the augmented physiological tremor when the test is performed at higher loads [22] .

It has to be acknowledged that despite the apparent trend CV MAS and CV f did not reach statistical significance and this can be attributed to the high inter-subject variability as expressed by the confidence limits for CV ( table 2 and 3 ) and potentially to the sample size.
