Interestingly, although there was a strong trend towards reduced Fos-protein expression in the LPAG in LPS-treated rats, this did not reach statistical significance, possibly due to the lack of power in our analyses.
In the LPAG, LMM analysis revealed a strong trend towards decreased Fos-positive neurons in LPS-treated rats, however this did not reach significance ( p = .062; Figure 2F ).
