A recent observational study on acetylsalicylic acid use and iFOBT performance showed a trend towards an increase in sensitivity (from 51.2 to 66.7%) without loss of specificity in acetylsalicylic acid or NSAID users, but the difference did not reach statistical significance, likely due to a relatively low number of acetylsalicylic acid/NSAID users [ 20 ].
