[ 21 ] with 70 stage I and II NSCLC patients with central and peripheral tumours, treated with 60 Gy in 3 fractions or 66 Gy in 3 fractions, found that while toxicity rates in central tumour patients (27.3%) were higher than the rates of toxicity in peripheral tumour patients (10.4%), the result did not reach statistical significance.
