Among those who discontinued, 49 of 75 TNFi-naive (65.3%) and 59 of 80 TNFi-experienced (73.8%) patients discontinued by the first follow-up visit; such patients showed a trend towards higher baseline disease activity compared with those who continued.

TNFi-naive patients who discontinued their index TNFi by the first follow-up visit also had a higher tender joint count (mean (SD), 7.3 (13.4) vs 3.0 (4.9)) and lower average lateral lumbar flexion (mean (SD), 9.8 (13.4) vs 14.7 (4.9) cm) at baseline compared with those who continued; however, these differences did not reach statistical significance ( table 2 ).
