Among the six types of medications taken by the men with DM (sulfonylureas, biguanides, dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors, α-glucosidase inhibitors, and insulin), sulfonylurea treatment was significantly associated with longer PFS (HR, 95% CI: 0.36, 0.12–0.90; P = 0.028) and showed a trend, albeit not significant, toward association with longer OS (HR, 95% CI: 0.52, 0.18–1.30; P = 0.17).
