Although individual comparisons at the level of individual gene loci failed to reach statistical significance (Fisher test, p > 0.05 for each gene locus), a marginally significant improvement in overall knock-in efficiency was seen when considering all the gene loci together (Chi squared, p = 0.046, Supplementary Table 6 ), although the large variability in efficiency caused by gene locus complicates this analysis approach (see below for a more rigorous approach).
