a strong trendp = 0.066
Considering both families together, there was a strong trend ( p = 0.066) for more compounds to change baseline-to-KD in patients with an optimal vs. no observable clinical response.

We did not replicate those findings, and in fact showed a trend for lower initial acetyl-carnitine in optimal responders (and a significant increase during KD was also specific to optimal responders – showing a strong regulation by KD).
