For diploic veins with clear evidence of drainage (i.e., excluding those with indeterminate drainage), there were similarly significantly fewer veins in the temporal region (0.4 ± 0.7) compared to the frontal (5.9 ±4.7), parietal (9.3 ± 6.3), or occipital regions (7.6 ± 6.3), and once again, there was a trend to a greater number of veins in the parietal region, but this did not reach statistical significance.
