In 1995, Calzetti et al studied that L-deprenyl (10 mg daily) as an adjunct to low-dose bromocriptine (up to 25 mg daily) compared with bromocriptine alone or bromocriptine plus placebo and found that selegiline combined regimens produced a mildly significant improvement in the majority of clinical rating scales, a stabilization of clinical status up to 12 months, and a smaller proportion of patients in need of levodopa at 24 months [ 65 ].
