From the first to the second TACE cycle, most of the tumorous lesions ( n = 28, 89%) showed a trend to decrease in size (from 22.3 ± 17.0 to 21.2 ± 25.2 cm 2 , p = 0.8) (see Fig. 3 ), whereas cancer stiffness significantly increased in all lesions from 5.8 ± 1.2 to 6.9 ± 1.4 kPa ( p = 0.002) (see Fig. 4 ).
