On further examination, compared to anti-Jo-1 positive patients ( n = 10), anti-Jo-1 negative patients ( n = 29) showed a trend toward lower percentage of females (76% vs. 100%, p = 0.086), significantly higher age ( p = 0.006), higher BMI ( p = 0.013), higher prevalence of arterial hypertension (62% vs. 0%, p < 0.001) and a trend toward higher prevalence of diabetes (21% vs. 0%, p = 0.118).
