Results: On meta-analysis, the male sex (OR 0.77, 95%CI 0.57–1.01, I 2 = 2.2%) appeared to have lower odds for mortality, while diabetes mellitus appeared to be associated with higher mortality (OR 1.47, 95%CI 0.67–3.26, I 2 = 81.4%), although these trends did not reach statistical significance.
