In a study, the authors recommended a minimum of 5 mm safety margin from a duct or vessel is necessary to avoid iatrogenic injuries with EUS-RFA.[ 29 ] Interestingly in our study, the amount of ethanol used for ablation showed a trend toward predicting AEs but did not reach statistical significance, likely due to small sample size and fewer studies.
