1 , 12 Older age, which is associated with most neoplastic diseases, showed a significant trend in univariate analysis in this study, but not in multivariate analysis. 1 , 13 Sessile shape, which was a risk factor for neoplastic polyps in other studies, was more frequent in the neoplastic polyp group but not significantly so. 14 , 15 This difference from previous studies may be due to the retrospective nature of this study and the relatively small number of subjects.
