Unsurprisingly, participants in the 10-h variation slept for longer (7 h 6 min, SD = 38 min) than those in the 6-h variation (4 h 45 min, SD = 28 min), a difference which a two-tailed t test showed was highly significant, t (47) = 14.66, p < .0001, Cohen’s d = 4.34.
As for night-time, wakefulness during daytime, occupied the highest proportion (60.4 ± 1.8%) compared with the percentages of drowsiness, NREM sleep and REM sleep (9.4 ± 0.8%; 23.4 ± 1.5% and 6.7 ± 0.6%, respectively) and these differences were found to be highly significant (p < 0.0001; p < 0.0001; p < 0.0001) ( Fig 5C ).
Results We identified thirteen loci showing significant differential DNA methylation levels between tumor and non-tumor lung; eight of these show highly significant hypermethylation in adenocarcinoma: CDH13, CDKN2A EX2, CDX2, HOXA1, OPCML, RASSF1, SFPR1, and TWIST1 (p-value << 0.0001).

RML-inoculated transgenic mice reached terminal disease after 400 ± 56 dpi (n = 10), whereas WTPrP C mice became terminally sick at 155 ± 1.6 dpi (n = 8), thus also showing a highly significant delay for PrP C GPIThy-1-expressing mice (Log Rank (Mantel-Cox)**** p <0.0001; S6A Fig ).
Adding more biological replicates to the qPCR log 2 FC calculation decreased the correlation with the microarray log 2 FCs [ Supplementary Figure S2 (‘all samples’ linear regression model); r 2 = 0.703], but the linear regression model remained highly significant ( p < 0.0001).
The second validation step performed by MS-qPCR on core biopsies from 131, 59 and 36 patients with histologically diagnosed PCa, BPH and high-grade PIN, respectively, showed highly significant differences in the methylation status of the APC, TACC2, RARB, DGKZ, C5orf4 and HES5 regions between BPH and PCa ( P <0.0001).

Statistical modelling of FICI values The results of the Wald χ 2 tests from the fitted linear mixed-effects model evaluating FICI values indicated that antibacterial combination had a strong and highly significant main effect on FICI values ( p < 0.0001), as did compound ratio ( p < 0.0001), indicating that both the identity of the combination and the dosage ratio influenced the degree of synergism.
A 2 × 2 contingency analysis comparing the groups was highly significant (Chi-square = 25.75, df = 1, p < .0001, Phi = .30).
From baseline (day 0) to the end of DB (day 84), the severity of headache/migraine decreased by −1.6 ± 0.9 (-2.0) points in the ERr 731® group and by −0.2 ± 0.8 [0,0] points in the placebo group resulting in a highly significant difference ( p < 0.0001) in the severity as well as in the decrease of symptoms between the two treatment groups ( Figure 2 ).
The assays showed a highly significant linear correlation (adjusted r -squared of 0.861, P < 0.0001, Fig. 2B ): for every unit increase in the original assay optical density ratio, the newer assay increased 14 RU/mL (95% CI = 13.1–15.7) units.
The level of association between clusters and origin of the isolates was statistically highly significant ( p < 0.0001), indicating a host preference, with tropism a well known feature of Campylobacter fetus subspecies [ 41 ].
Model fit was determined with the final model retaining genotype (ordinal due to the graphed relationship observed in Figure 1a ), proline, alcohol use and the highly significant COMT -proline interaction ( P <0.0001).
As shown in Figure 3 , this resulted in a highly significant increase in performance (bootstrap test resulting in p<0.0001 for all tested metrics).
