Simulations put forward an increasing trend in diffusivity and conductivity with higher Si concentrations, in agreement with the trend observed from direct experimental impedance spectroscopy results. 13 However, quantitatively, AIMD simulations overestimate the tracer conductivities compared to experimental impedance values (64 mS m −1 vs. 2.4 mS cm −1 , Li 6.5 P 0.5 Si 0.5 S 5 Br).
This incidence was higher than in 2018–2020, with an increasing trend in recent years. 2 Silicosis was traditionally related to mining, yet the use of new materials, such as artificial quartz conglomerate, without personal protection measures has increased occupational exposure, 3 , 4 and silicosis has re-emerged as an occupational disease in Spain 5 and worldwide. 4

One study, including 9895 subjects, showed that elevated AST levels were a risk factor of diabetes (elevated versus normal AST; OR:1.75 [1.32-2.32]), whereas AST within the normal ranges of quartiles 2, 3, and 4 was negatively associated with T2D risk compared with quartile 1 (Q2, Q3, Q4 versus Q1, OR<1, 95% CI <1) ( 25 ), indicating that the association between AST and diabetes risk may be a non-linear trend of initially decreasing followed by an increasing trend.

Overall, globally, the DALY for CKD-T2D in the population aged 20–59 years showed a decreasing trend attributed to diet high in sodium, low temperature, and lead exposure over the past 30 years, while attributed to high systolic blood pressure, high body-mass index (BMI), and high temperature showed an increasing trend (Supplementary Fig.
