In summary, with the increasing degree of thermal evolution and the occurrence of OM graphitization, the mineral composition of the shale shows an overall trend of increasing quartz and decreasing clay mineral contents, a result which is consistent with the natural sequence samples, indicating that a ′′high quartz-low clay” content is an important indicator of thermal evolution within the study area.
The test results show that the tanδ values of the three materials in the 2–18 GHz frequency band exhibit an overall trend of “gentle rise at low frequencies, intense fluctuation at mid-high frequencies, and rebound at high frequencies”, with the overall loss level following the order MPB > MPI > MPIB, which is completely consistent with the order of their maximum reflection losses (42.41 dB, 39.83 dB, and 37.73 dB, respectively).
For the uniaxial-low and uniaxial-high surfaces ( Figure e,f), the experimentally observed dominant SF orientations ( Figure d, black dashed lines) show an overall trend consistent with the model-predicted low-energy directions, supporting the idea that SFs preferentially align along energetically favorable orientations.
7 , 26 Use of OSS seems to be an overall effective and safe method for full-thickness closure of defects after ESD with an overall trend toward shorter intervention time as users become more familiar with the device. 7 However, the downsides to use of OSS include limited maneuverability, cumbersome operation, and possible equipment malfunction while in use.
