Noticeably here, while we did not find any main effect of the level of simulated gravity upon subsequent vection (although the trend was barely significant), one may speculate that previous coherent sensorimotor exposure (i.e., FFA condition) may help preserve the sensibility to visually-induced self-motion sensation (which is conversely diminished at 100% BW in our experiment).

The clinical trials evaluating the efficacy of this compound in NASH patients produced contradictory results; an initial trial that lasted a year showed a decrease in liver enzymes, lipids, and glucose levels and an increase rate of NASH resolution without fibrosis worsening in treated patients, although this late result was barely significant [ 187 ].
Male-biased genes were highly enriched for neurological and psychiatric disorders (autism, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, AD, and Parkinson’s disease), while female-biased genes were barely significant enriched for a few diseases (OCD, AD, schizophrenia, and epilepsy), which suggested that the male-biased genes likely have functional consequences relevant to human brain diseases, consistent with the “female protective model” in neurodevelopmental disorder.
In the set of regressions on COVID-19 cases, the GDP variable ( Fig 3A ) drops considerably in performance, being barely significant for only 30 days at the end of the period maintaining a negative association.
The particle size and loading had a barely significant correlation of coefficient −0.50, where, as the size increased, the loading decreased.
We expected the correlation between vaccination and thrombosis outcome to be either non- or barely significant in the general population.
Interestingly, the influence of patient age was statistically barely significant, where each year lowered the mortality risk by an OR of 0.93.
In our data set, lymphopenia was barely significant as an independent risk factor for PICU admission, suggesting that low lymphocyte counts are indeed associated with worse clinical disease severity.
However, the interaction was barely significant and should thus be interpreted with caution.
There are further problems, such as selectively removing outliers that result in significant findings, interpreting nonsignificant p -values in small samples as ‘trends toward significance’ (but not interpreting barely significant p -values as trends toward nonsignificance), and using one-sided tests over two-sided tests to obtain desired results, 30 discussed in Love. 38 All these problems jointly threaten both internal validity and statistical conclusion validity, as it remains unclear whether the conclusions are supported by the data and if other explanations might be more plausible for the effects observed.
The enzyme showed a clear preference for nigerose, an a1,3-linked glucose disaccharide, over the other substrates, whose hydrolyses were barely significant.
Its average atomic coordinates showed barely significant changes in response to the inhibitor captopril.
While Munc18a substantially stimulated membrane fusion with syntaxin1A [ 21 , 24 ], Munc18a produced a small, barely significant improvement in fusion mediated by SNARE complexes containing wild-type syntaxin3B when compared to wild-type syntaxin3B-containing SNARE complexes alone (compare Figure 1 D and Figure 3 D, blue bars; without Munc18: 4.92 ± 0.15; with Munc18: 5.76 ± 0.18; n = 4; p = 0.0471; one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s multiple comparisons).
As for the increased DAT mRNA expression levels found in the FM + MDD subjects, this result was barely significant, suggesting that the observed effect is rather small.
There were no statistically significant differences in values of total cholesterol, tryglicerides, and CRP between groups at the baseline, and barely significant difference of WC and TIBC between groups A and C.
Also, why are the bands in the input and IP so different for spatacsin and spastizin? 3) The superplots show now quite clearly that some effects are barely significant (only paired t-test).
Although statistically barely significant, this could be attributed to a reduced opacity of the nightside atmosphere, i.e., the brightness temperature is determined by a lower atmospheric layer with slightly higher temperature.
Conversely, although evidence exists indicating that HD patients have usually more sedentary behavior than PD [ 12 ], we found only a barely significant difference between these two groups in terms of sitting time on a midweek or weekend day, probably due to the very small sample size of the study population.
In direct comparison between the siTFAM and control samples, we thus found non- or barely significant differences for the mitochondrial area, but robust and stark reduction in the number of nucleoids per cell and nucleoid density in siTFAM treated cells, across all three replicates (Figure 4A and B ).
After 1 year, we had a significant improvement of all comorbidities ( P < 0.05) except for smoking and lower extremities’ varices while the resolution of GERD was barely significant.
Only at phylum level could we observe barely significant changes in richness between these two groups.
We found that higher recommended distances were associated with either a small, barely significant reduction in COVID-19 dynamics, as expected, or even an increased COVID-19 dynamics, depending on the day of the pandemic we examined.
WRAT score can be predicted, although at a barely significant level, using the whole cohort, with both FC and/or SNPs as input.
In the final multivariate analysis model, a higher PHQ-4 score was associated (but was barely significant) with female sex (OR = 1.31 [0.97–1.77]) and being born outside Switzerland (OR = 1.6 [1.16–2.21]).
The decreased ability to perform CISC was barely significant at six months but strongly significant at 12 months, possibly suggesting an association with cognitive and physical decline typical of MS patients.
