The MS spinal cord CSA was lower than control by between 19% and 24%, quite small proportional variation between cord levels; however, there was borderline significant evidence, P = 0.055, of variation in absolute differences by region, with the largest absolute loss in the cervical region (Figure 5 A). aCST was decreased in the MS spinal cord by between 25% and 37% (Table 2 ).
