The ORs of SIX2 and SIX3 between III–IV and I–II in GSE68793 (SIX2: OR = 1.62; SIX3: OR = 1.62) showed consistent trend with pooled OR. The SIX family gene expressions correlated with LNM of NSCLC The correlation between SIX3 expression and LNM of NSCLC hovered around significance (pooled OR = 1.15, 95 % CI, 0.95–1.39, p = 0.050, and I 2 = 57.7 %; see Additional file 2 ).

Additionally, a higher incidence of obesity was observed in carriers of at least one T allele, and the result has hovered around significance ( p = 0.06).
