The study of a connection of the blood serum VDR concentration with age of patients with SLE ( table 4 ) showed a trend for lower VDR levels in ageing patients, although the difference in the mean values shown by different age groups was not statistically significant (p=0.054).
We established no statistically significant difference in the average values of Z-score and BMD in female patients of reproductive age with low and relatively normal blood serum VDR concentrations (p>0.05), although we revealed a clear trend towards decreased values in patients with low VDR.
