At the high TfRMAb-EPO chronic dose of 20 mg/kg, TfR levels were significantly elevated or showed a strong trend toward an increase in plasma (p < 0.05), kidney (p = 0.058), liver (p < 0.05), and spleen (p < 0.001), but not in the brain ( Fig. 3 f-j).
APP SAA KI mice showed a trend toward a decrease in locomotion and no cognitive deficits compared to the APP WT mice at the time of sacrifice, which is consistent with the motor and cognitive changes reported in these mice at 9 months of age ( Blackmer-Raynolds et al., 2025 ).
A similar trend was observed in the liver, where the TfRMAb-EPO concentrations were 2-to-3 fold higher after acute dosing compared to chronic dosing for 1–6 mg/kg doses, but these values did not reach statistical significance ( Fig. 2 c).
