Children who used inverted contrast settings on electronic devices showed a trend for lower SE progression compared to those using standard contrast settings, although this difference did not reach statistical significance (Student’s t test, p = 0.214; – 0.11 D vs. – 0.23 D, respectively, see Supplementary Fig. 1).
