The sentences
For six of the assessed genes ( GAS5 , XIST , NEAT1 , Osteopontin, Osteocalcin, and Collagen 1), the differentiation was associated with lower gene expression, although only XIST and NEAT1 were statistically significant, and GAS5 and Osteocalcin were close to the level of significance.
For the other two assessed genes ( MEG3 and MALAT1 ), differentiation was associated with higher gene expression, though only MALAT1 approached significance.
